Staywell Kids will no longer be available in the Florida Healthy Kids program after December 31, 2019.
Effective January 1, 2020, the following health plans will be available in the Florida Healthy Kids program:
- Statewide: Aetna Better Health of Florida (Aetna) and Simply Healthcare Plan, Inc. (Simply)
- Regions 9, 10, 11: Community Care Plan
Florida KidCare is communicating with enrolled families about these changes.
Families are being asked to select a new health plan by the end of the Special Open Choice period on November 30, 2019. If they don’t, Florida KidCare will enroll the family in one of the available plans.
This change only affects children enrolled in the Florida Healthy Kids program. It does not change anything for other Florida KidCare programs. MediKids, Medicaid and/or the Children’s Medical Services Managed Care Plan are not affected.

WellCare will provide services for Staywell Kids members through December 31, 2019.
We will work closely with the Florida Healthy Kids Corporation and the three health plans to ensure a smooth transition for Staywell Kids members. We encourage you to work with the new health plans to coordinate the care of our members and your patients.
