As a reminder, the Meridian Medicare-Medicaid Plan (MMP) transitioned to Wellcare By Meridian on January 1, 2026. Below are key operational dates for providers with remaining claims or service needs for MMP.
Provider Services (call center) update
On December 31, 2026, the MMP Provider Services phone number will be deactivated. After that date, you may contact the Wellcare With Merdian Provider Services phone number for assistance at 1-844-536-2175.
Timely filing and claims payment appeals
For participating providers, timely filing for MMP is 180 days from the date of service on the claim. The latest date to submit claims for services was June 29, 2026.
You have additional time (120 days) to submit a claims payment appeal should you disagree with the payment determination. Please reference the Provider Manual located on our provider website for more details.
The secure provider portal and Availity payer space will remain live for completing remaining claims activities.
