'Ohana Expands Telehealth Services

’Ohana now offers expanded 24/7 Telehealth Services

Telehealth Services are a covered plan benefit for ’Ohana Health Plan that provide members with enhanced health care services and information when they cannot meet with their provider face-to-face. This gives members flexibility in how they interact with providers while also improving health outcomes in the state.

As of <START DATE>, members can also choose to utilize Telehealth Services through MDLIVE.

MDLIVE gives members 24/7 access to expert care from a board-certified doctor for minor illnesses. Doctors are available anytime, day or night, even on weekends and holidays. This is especially useful for members who require care when their PCP is unavailable.

MDLIVE physicians can help members with common general health conditions like: allergies, cold/flu, constipation, pink eye and nausea. They can also assist with behavioral health conditions such as: addiction, bipolar disorder, depression and stress.

If medically necessary, an MDLIVE doctor will send prescriptions and refills directly to the member’s pharmacy, and the member’s PCP will receive notification on any medicines/treatments prescribed, as well as other details regarding care provided.
