Recently your Wellcare of North Carolina Medicare members may have received a letter from Wellcare indicating that your agreement with Wellcare Medicare would be ending on April 30, 2022. This notification was sent due to a system error. Retraction notices are being processed and will be provided to all impacted members no later than April 30. You should continue to render services to Wellcare Medicare members as there is no impact to your participation status.
If you have concerns about your participation status with Wellcare of North Carolina, please contact Wellcare provider services at 1-855-538-0454 (TTY 711) or email our provider relations team at NCProviderRelations@Wellcare.com.
If Wellcare members contact your office regarding the termination letter, please refer them to the Wellcare customer service team at 1-833-444-9088 (TTY 711) to address their concerns.
