The Benefits of WellCare Add Up
As a part of your plan, you may have an Over-the-Counter (OTC) benefit. Here is how it works: We give you a monthly, fixed-dollar amount to buy the OTC medications and products you need to stay well. These are everyday things like bandages, pain relievers, cold remedies, toothpaste and much more. You have the flexibility to pick generic or brand-name items. If you order through our catalog, we'll even ship your items right to your door at no additional cost to you. Or buy your approved selections at any retail store, and we'll pay you back.
Not sure your plan offers an OTC benefit? Check your Evidence of Coverage. And remember: Your OTC benefit and any OTC items you purchase are for you and you alone.
How to Use Your OTC Benefit
- Order directly from us.* Find the item you want in the OTC catalog and call us. Or view our OTC products in our secure member portal. (Once you log in, click on the OTC icon under the Member Toolbox heading. If you don't have an account, you will need to set one up.)
Buy eligible items at any store and we'll pay you back.* We'll cover the cost up to the dollar amount of your OTC benefit. Just mail us your completed reimbursement form and itemized receipt. (You'll have to pay for any amount above your monthly benefit.)
Remember, you can order your OTC items every month. Unused benefit dollars don't rollover from month to month.
If your plan's OTC benefit uses a card (select NY Access/Rx members only.)
Use your OTC card to purchase eligible items from participating stores. To request a list of eligible items and find retailers where you can use your OTC card, please contact Customer Service.
