Effective January 1, 2020
Missouri Care will require that providers bill the appropriate CPT code when billing an outpatient claim with one of these revenue codes:
360, 361, 362, 367, 369, 370, 371, 372, 374, 379, 490, 499, 720, 721, 722, 723, 724, 729, 750, 759
This is to provide advance notice of this change to allow time to make any needed changes in your claims billing process.
Effective with dates of service from January 1, 2020 forward – Missouri Care will deny outpatient facility claims billed with one of the revenue codes above that does not include a CPT procedure code. To address these denials, you would need to submit a corrected claim that includes the CPT procedure code in order for the claim to be considered for payment
