You have a choice of health plans. If you enroll, you will need to use doctors that work with WellCare, except in a few cases. If you join WellCare’s Family Health Plus program, you will have a choice of at least 3 primary care doctors. Newborns will automatically be enrolled in the health plan of the mother and receive Medicaid coverage. You have 90 days to decide if the plan is right for you. If you are not satisfied, you can change plans. After the 90 days, you must stay with your new plan for the next 9 months, unless you have a special reason to transfer.
